The other side

It all seems fine,
But the sun wont shine,
Death feels near,
Its pangs feel gripping,
A light breaks in,
Somthing happens,
A light is awakened.

What bliss is this,
What type of drug,
It feels so good,
Its freedoms awakening,
The dormant parts arise again
The truth revealed
Setting free of sin.

It dragged me down,
It killed me soft,
The shame to great,
The guilt to much
But the burdens gone,
I've been set free,
Take hold my savior,
And guide me.

Excerpt

We notice that twice in Ruth 1:6-7 the word "return" is mentioned. Naomi set out to "return from the land of Moab" (verse 6) and she "returned to the land of Judah" (verse 7). She returned from and she returned to. Ah, here is a beautiful picture of repentance from sin. Genuine repentance is not merely turning away from sin. It is not just leaving a bad habit behind. No, it is far more. Real repentance is not only leaving the "Moab" of sin behind, but it is coming fully to God, to His "Bethlehem" provision in Christ, and to His people. Real repentance has to do with the leaving of sin and the coming to God in Christ. It has to do with joining the fellowship of God’s people.

Tired of lies

"Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable – if anything is excellent or praiseworthy – think about such things." Philippians 4:8 (NIV)

The truth is the only way to go. Today i encourage you to start reading Philippians. Something God has been showing me is how our world is corrupt. We can't be a voice and change till we have changed and are not part of the corruption. When we take place in Sinful activities we are agreeing with corruption, giving it a right to be in our lives. For me there is no debate. Im going to set my mind on the things above and the ways of God.

Fate

So, I watched the Matrix the other night, and it got my brain moving quite a bit. There were some things I thought would be cool to talk about. I'll just start with one for now:

Morpheus: Do you believe in fate, Neo?
Neo: No.
Morpheus: Why not?
Neo: Because I don't like the idea that I'm not in control of my life.


This to me was like BANG when I heard it, because I got to thinking about how hard life is when we try to control it. For me, it seems like every time I try to control my life something gets screwed up. But the minute I give it back to God its as if the puzzles pieces are put in the right order and everything fits again.

It happened to me just recently. I had this sin exposed to me and my world started falling apart. And now that I'm thinking about it...that was just it. It was WORLD. It was my world, but it was still world. So as soon as I saw it falling apart I assumed it was a bad thing.

However, instead of completely falling apart over it, this time I gave it too God. And, behold, you'll never guess what He did...He gave me life back. Not my exact life, but a better version. He helped open my eyes to see what was holding me back, and he gave me back a life that was better than before.

So what will you do? Be like Neo and keep life in your control? Or give it to God and take a weight off your back?

Whos Life Is It? Mine? Gods?

Dreena is so right, until we step out of the place we are in, we need to expect to stay there. Wow rocket science most will say, but really most all things God assigns us with are easy, just our own complications make it hard.

"I can do everything through Christ Jesus who strengthens me."
This verse doesn't say we can do almost everything. It has an absolute promise, everything, not just a kinda sorta. Everything we CAN DO through Christ. But are we doing it all for Christ?

I CAN DO anything I want, I can blow my virginity, I can kill someone, I could become a druggie. My mom constintly says "Everything is acceptable, but not evrything is benificial." Our world has so many pleasures to offer, and our common excuse is "I CAN DO IT, ITS MY LIFE." The point is we need to step out of the Me, mine, my life mentality and let it be He, Him, His life. When we look at this verse, we need to be saying "I WILL do Everything through Christ Jesus."

Our Motives for life need to be His. We need to leave the I CAN DO what God needs. And start declaring I WILL DO what God needs. Jesus is the one who gives us life, shouldn't we give him ours?

A Brief Beginning

So I just wanted to give a quick "hey" to everyone reading our site. Matt pretty much summed up our mission but I still wanted to say a few words.
Now I'm not about to tell you that stepping into God's plan will be easy. Because if life were easy it wouldn't count. Yes, I know, that sounded harsh. However, I can tell you this: It is most definitely worth it. Believe me, the minute you step off the cliff and walk out of the crowd, no matter what kind of crowd it is(friends, kids at school, teammates), your life will become more open then it has ever been. And I'm not saying that the door will open. I'm saying the door will be blown off it's hinges and that box you've spent all your time in will explode off of you and God will begin to show you that He has better things in store for you.
So burn the ring, forget the parachute, and jump off the edge.
(trust me, God will catch you)

Welcome to our first site!!

Hello all and welcome to the first site of The Fellowship of the Freaks. We are a group of teens wiating to change the world. To do this we are seeking Gods face through our teen years. We are stepping out of society, to step into Gods plans and his calling for our life.

This site will be a place in which real teens with a real God will share there thoughts, songs, scripture, and of course prayers. Our goal is to see an on fire generation of Jesus Freaks that will go the length and carry each other thru.

Sam:Do you remember the Shire, Mr. Frodo? It'll be spring soon. And the orchards will be in blossom. And the birds will be nesting in the hazel thicket. And they'll be sowing the summer barley in the lower fields... and eating the first of the strawberries with cream. Do you remember the taste of strawberries?
Frodo: No, Sam. I can't recall the taste of food... nor the sound of water... nor the touch of grass. I'm... naked in the dark, with nothing, no veil... between me... and the wheel of fire! I can see him... with my waking eyes!
Sam: Then let us be rid of it... once and for all! Come on, Mr. Frodo. I can't carry it for you... but I can carry you!

This is the entire theme of this group, ridding ourselves of the Ring that controls our lives. We are standing together and carrying each other thru the storm. It is time for us to truly band together and become one Fellowship of love sick worshipers. Its time to stop letting the Ring control your life. Its time to conquer sin and conquer this world.
